The mission of MyDPCdoc Family Medicine is three-fold: (1) to help ensure your healthy longevity by providing all of your primary health needs whenever you need it; (2) to restore the sacredness of the healer-patient relationship; and (3) to promote disruptive innovation of the healthcare system as an early adopter of the DPC model, helping individuals and employers to reduce the cost of healthcare, while also increasing the quality of the care that is delivered.
These costs are saved when you have an accessible primary care doctor who can get to the root causes of symptoms with less reliance on tests and referrals; who can focus on healthy habits rather than drugs to treat problems; who can be your advocate in finding the least expensive options for meds, labs and xrays when needed; thus allowing you to carry a lower premium, higher deductible insurance plan for catastrophic care (The things for which "insurance" is actually intended--imagine that!). Considering these opportunities for savings, you may not be able to afford NOT having a DPC physician.
Dr. Crall grew up in Ft. Wayne, Indiana but relocated to Tampa in 1980. His educational background is as follows:
While at Emory, Dr. Crall received the Pisacano Scholarship from the American Board of Family Medicine, recognizing future leaders in Family Medicine. This award directly led to many connections that were instrumental in the eventual career path towards Direct Primary Care.
Dr Crall practiced for 17 years as an employed physician with Morton Plant Mease Primary Care in New Port Richey, FL prior to opening his Direct Primary Care practice in July 2014. He has been happily married to Kara for 32 years and they have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. He enjoys cycling, jogging, and watching his children and grandchildren participate in their many activities. He believes that the secret to any success that he enjoys is his faith in God and personal friendship with Jesus Christ, which keeps him humble and happy in the face of any difficulties, and was also the ultimate source of courage behind the decision to start his own practice in a system that discourages it.
Kara is highly skilled in exceeding your expectations in regards to customer service. She will address any questions or concerns related to billing and patients should speak with her if they have questions about upgrading their membership to the longevity program.
